A Mother’s Journey Through Homelessness in San Francisco

There are 578,424 people experiencing homelessness on any given night in the US - 37% are families. Julianne and her husband moved to San Francisco in 2013 to start what they thought was going to be a new successful chapter. Suddenly, her husband lost his job and they were left homeless with their first child on the way. Julianne and Seth had to navigate the often complicated system of care. Working with local organizations like Compass Family Services, Homeless Prenatal, St. Joseph's Family Center, and HandUp, Julianne and her family succeeded in establishing a new home.
