Impact America Fund Invests $200k in HandUp at SOCAP15

The people who choose to invest in HandUp are making a statement - they believe that we can fight poverty using the power of technology and human relationships. The values of our investors are important to us, and that’s why we couldn’t be more excited to announce that Impact America Fund (IAF) is investing $200,000 in HandUp.

IAF invests in ventures whose products and services enhance the quality of life for low-to-moderate income Americans. They share our passion of leveraging technology and for-profit business to achieve a greater mission of good for the world. It’s an honor to represent poverty alleviation in their portfolio alongside other startups closing the opportunity gap in the areas of education and business-to-business supplier diversity.

HandUp is a Public Benefit Corporation, which means we are a for-profit company with social impact baked into our legal foundation. This funding from IAF also represents the growing movement of venture capitalists who are making a commitment to invest in the double bottom line of social entrepreneurship.
