Hospitality House was founded after a Charles Hutchins, visiting Wenatchee at the time, saw there was no emergency housing for homeless people. So he took over an abandoned hotel and began renovations just before winter hit. Now over 30 years later, Hospitality Ministries manages three additional programs that provide transitional housing for women and children, transitional housing for families, and a teen youth drop-in center.
Hospitality Ministries is a faith-based organization dedicated to serving those in need regardless of their personal beliefs. We are very excited to welcome Hospitality Ministries as our newest partner in the Oregon area!
“HandUp gives our clients the ability to define specific obstacles that they need to overcome on their individual journeys toward self-sufficiency and ask for help to meet those needs. Hospitality Ministries can meet their immediate needs like housing, food, and clothing, but we have not been able to help with financing for schooling, vehicles, or other tools that allow them to meet their goals. We are so excited to offer this service to help our clients take those steps to move forward!” - Stephanie Lewis, Manager
