Community Matters: How You Got Adam Off The Streets

“My mom passed away when I was homeless, my brother passed away when I was homeless - the hardest part is not having anybody to fall back on.”

Adam is a local in the San Francisco neighborhood of the Castro, selling Street Sheets as his main source of income. He’s struggled with his health as living on the street is a huge barrier to getting the care he needs. Over the past two years, Adam fundraised on HandUp to help cover basic needs like food, clothing, temporary housing during a surgery, and more. Today because of your support, Adam has a home. Hear his story:

Each week in December, you’ll hear a story from a homeless neighbor. This week, all donations to health care needs are matched by Google.org - give now!
